Where the series came from, what it stands for, and where it has been so far.
Women’s Run Series began in March 2025 with a sold-out 5K and 10K at Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park on International Women’s Day weekend. It was created by RunThrough, powered by StoneX and delivered by an entirely female events team, with one aim: to give women a race day that feels safe, welcoming and theirs.
Since then the series has grown to Manchester’s Heaton Park and Battersea Park, added a Half Marathon, and welcomed thousands of women to the start line, many of them for their very first race.

At Women’s Run Series, our mission is to create a truly safe and inclusive space for women’s running, empowering individuals to embrace a healthy and active lifestyle. We are dedicated to increasing female and ethnic minority participation in running events, ensuring that everyone, regardless of background, feels welcome and supported.
By partnering with grassroots groups and initiatives, we aim to foster the growth of women’s sport, championing diversity and promoting physical and mental well-being through the power of running. Together, we strive to build a vibrant community where every woman has the opportunity to thrive and inspire others to do the same.
