Celebrate International Women’s Day with an inspiring spring race at the Women’s Run Series London March 5K & 10K.

Taking place around the iconic Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park, home of the London 2012 Olympic Games, this event is the perfect way to kickstart the 2027 Women’s Run Series.

Choose from the 5K or 10K and enjoy a supportive, inclusive race-day atmosphere alongside like-minded women. The course is beginner, buggy and wheelchair accessible, making it a brilliant choice whether you’re taking on your first race, returning to running or lining up for your hundredth.

The course

Flat, lapped and fully marshalled

A lapped course around the Olympic Park on wide, accessible paths. Beginner, buggy and wheelchair friendly, with a water station roughly every 2.5km. Every kilometre is marked with distance flags and marshals cheer you round.

By public transport

Public transport is the best and easiest way to get to and from the park. Ten tube and train links serve the area, including the 24-hour night tube on the Central and Jubilee lines, plus numerous bus routes.

By train

Seven minutes to St Pancras International and no more than 40 minutes to London’s other major railway stations.

Plan ahead

We suggest using Citymapper, Google Maps or Parkopedia to make suitable travel plans ahead of the event.

On the day

Race day, step by step

Warm up & start

A group warm-up in the event village before the 10:00 start. Listen out for MC announcements for when to make your way to the start line.

Cut-off

There is no cut-off time. Runners and run-walkers of all abilities are welcome.

Bag drop

A secure indoor bag-drop area. Your baggage tag is attached to your race number: tear it off, attach it to your bag and show your number to collect. Changing facilities are available in the event village.

Toilets & changing

Plenty of portable toilets in the event village plus access to the cafe toilets, which are also roughly 40m from the route if you need them mid-race.

Water & refreshments

Water on each lap of the race, roughly every 2.5km, and at the finish along with your post-race goodies and medal.

Results & photos

Results are live here immediately after the race, and photos land on the photos page the same day. Tag @womensrunseriesuk and we’ll share the best ones.

Race day etiquette. Be considerate and respectful to other runners, race staff and the public. Be mindful of your surroundings and fellow participants. If anything makes you feel uncomfortable, visit the information tent, find a team member in pink hi-vis, or email info@womensrunseries.co.uk.
Spectators

Bringing your support crew

Friends and family are welcome to come and support their runners and the Women’s Run Series. Please bear in mind this is an opportunity to provide a truly safe space for women to run, so the start and finish area is exclusive to participants and supporters are asked to use the spectator zones and meeting point.

FAQs

Good to know

Will my race bib be posted?
All race packs are collected within the event village on your chosen race day. Full details on how to collect your race pack are included in the event guide, emailed to you a week before the event.
Can I sign up on the day?
This depends on the capacity of the event and pre-race sign-ups. We advise entering online ahead of the event to avoid disappointment.
Will there be a bag drop?
Yes. There is an informal baggage drop area where you can leave belongings with our marshals during the race. Anything left is at your own risk, so keep valuables with you or leave them at home.
Can my friends and family come to watch?
Friends and family are welcome to come and support. Please bear in mind this is an opportunity to provide a truly safe space for women to run: the start and finish area is exclusive to participants and supporters are asked to use the spectator zones and meeting point.
Will we get medals?
Yes. Medals go to every participant at every event in the series regardless of finish time, and each event has its own unique medal design.
Will there be a water station?
There is a water station on each lap of the course. If you need additional fuelling we recommend bringing it with you.
Is there a cut-off time?
There is no cut-off time at any Women’s Run Series event. Runners and run-walkers of all abilities are welcome.
Is there an age limit?
The minimum age is 11 for the 5K, 15 for the 10K and 17 for the Half Marathon.
If I am unable to run, can I defer my entry?
Yes. If for any reason you cannot take part, whether through injury, pregnancy or anything else, email our team and we will happily defer your entry to a later date or transfer the place to a friend.
